The dream represents an exploration of fashion, art, photography, and creativity, blending the fantastical with the natural world.
My challenge was to push the boundaries of my artistic abilities, to express my unique voice and talents, and to create a series that embodies artistic exploration.
Design Approach
PROCESS
After completing the 12-week course from The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron, I embarked on a personal creative exploration to define my identity as an artist. The dreamlike images from part one of this series, blends my passions for construction, fashion, design, color, style, and photography.
Taking on the roles of Creative and Art Director, I utilized AI-generated images as a starting point, drawing inspiration to bring them to life. I envisioned these fantastical fashion pieces with elements of color, texture, skin, metal, sparkle juxtaposed with the natural landscapes, leading to this series set in the desert and mountains.
Through a blend of sourcing existing garments and unconventional items, refurbishing and adapting them, and crafting new pieces from scratch, I curated every aspect of the visuals. Additionally, I styled hair, makeup, and accessories, selected ideal locations, and photographed and edited each image.
OUTCOME
This marks the beginning of a four-part series producing images and pieces of artistic fashion. Through this project, I showcased my creative talents and affirmed my ability to trust in my innate gifts, demonstrating that I can create art using my natural abilities.
